Daren Meadows

Daren Reid Meadows 1955 ~ 2010 Daren Reid Meadows, beloved husband, son Uncle Dad, brother and friend left this world May 7, 2010 at his home in Herriman, Utah. Daren was born April 8, 1955 to Leonard and Merle Reid Meadows. He was a real cowboy with his cowboy wife Terry, whom he married July 30, 1977. He built their dream log home in the mountains where he loved to ride his horse, work in his garden, and sit by his fish pond with his dogs Augie, Stick, and Mickey. He worked for Utility Trailer and Lake City International, for many years and for the past year at Pride Transport. He loved helping his friends, family, and kids and taught them how to ride horses, fish and hunt. He was a very courageous man, who when in pain, would always say, Ive got to Cowboy up! and that is exactly what he did to the very end. Daren is survived by his wife, his mother, his brother Jay (MaryAnne) Meadows; sister, Karen (Curtis) Christensen, mother-in-law, Edith McComas, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Mark; sister, Lynn; and father-in-law, Richard McComas. Daren left a cowboy print on everyone he met, so everyone Cowboy Up. A Memorial service will be held, Saturday, May 22, 2010 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. at 16105 Step Down Road, Herriman, Utah, to share our favorite memories of Daren. In lieu of flowers please donate money to the Huntsman Cancer Institute to help others in their fight to beat cancer.
