David John Acker Poppy David John Acker, 64, returned to Heavenly Father June 3, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Born December 17, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to Myrtle Jean and John Acker. Served in U.S. Navy on nuclear submarines. BSA Silver Beaver. His greatest passions were his family, Mickey Mouse, anything chocolate, Cleveland sports and scouting. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy; sister, Elaine; 4 married children, 17 grand and 2 great-grandchildren. Viewing June 8, 6-8 pm. Funeral June 9, 12 pm. Both at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd. Internment at Utah Veteran Memorial Park.
