Before becoming ill, David was pursuing a Master's degree in Business Communication and writing a text book for technical writers. During their years in Utah he and Kathlea raised their two boys. David and Kathlea have been members of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, in Taylorsville, where David taught Sunday School for many years. He had a keen wit and a unique sense of humor. He was a passionate lover of trains of all shapes and sizes, could tell you the make and model of any airplane he saw, and enjoyed bicycling, bird watching, taking care of his cars, and spending time traveling with his family. He is preceded in death by Harold Earl Quebbeman, his father.
