In Loving Memory of Delford Ray Bolinger
Delford Ray Bolinger, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loved ones in his home in Pima, AZ. He was born on October 3, 1945, also in Pima to parents Delford & Neta (Sellers) Bolinger and siblings Susan, Peggy, Janice, and Bill.
Delford graduated from Pima High School in 1967 and joined the U.S. Army in 1969, serving in the Vietnam conflict before earning his Purple Heart and being honorably discharged in 1971.
Delford's legacy will forever be carried on through his cherished wife, Shirley Bolinger. Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them, standing as a testament to the power of a strong and enduring partnership.
A true gentleman, Delford was known for his compassionate nature and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved watching westerns, strawberry milkshakes, and working on cars. He was reliable, hilarious, and stern but loving.
Delford's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, cherishing each moment with them. From his two sons Joel & David, down to his four grandchildren and his two great-grandchildren. Sadly, Delford's daughter, Clarissa Chapman, preceded him in death several years ago.
The loss of Delford has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His warm smile, gentle presence, and wise guidance will be deeply missed. However, his memory will remain eternally vibrant, serving as a reminder of the impact one person can make on the lives of others.
