Dellas Phillips

Dellas H. Phillips A Life of Service Dellas Hyrum Phillips, 88, passed away at home December 13, 2009. Son of Ardell William and Barbara Ellen Denison Phillips, born September 7, 1921 and raised in the hills of Farmington, Utah. Married Marguerite Jean Fort September 2, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple; she preceded him in death March 27, 2006. He owned and operated Phillips Electronics since 1965. Faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities, stake missions and a full time mission with his wife to the Tampa Florida Mission. His life was dedicated to the service of others. Survived by children: Ellen Derrick, Janice (Wayne) Stock, Dellene Vincent, Dell (Debbie) Phillips, Duane (LaRue) Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Ruth Otto, Dean (Marci) Phillips; 32 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Ray (Barbara) Phillips, Bernice Horne, Lucy (Max) Peterson, Barbara Bybee; brother-in-law, Tom Ramage; sister-in-law, Barbara Phillips. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Max Phillips; sister, Cleo Ramage. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Ridgedale Ward, 3400 South 1100 East. Viewings will be held Wednesday, 5:30-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
