Delma Martineau, 96, of Safford, passed away July 12, 2014. Delma was born October 29, 1917 in Eden, AZ the daughter of Delbert and Mary Ellen Hancock. Delma grew up in Eden and attended Eden Schools. She was an avid genealogist and spent the most of her life researching names. Delma loved to attend the Mesa, AZ Temple. She worked hard to earn travel money to attend the Temple as often as possible. While working in the Mesa Temple, Delma met and later married Helaman Martineau. Together they made their home in Safford. Delma loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed visiting with her friends. Delma is survived by her brothers, Lavon Hancock of Tennessee and Stanley Hancock of Tucson and her sister, Wanda Pease of Thatcher. She was preceded in death by her husband Helaman Martineau; Parents, Delbert and Mary Ellen Hancock; brothers, Clyde, Archie and Max Hancock and sister, Vera Hancock Johnson.. A viewing & visitation will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 9-10 a.m. at the Thatcher Stake Center with the funeral services for Delma will beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in the Eden Cemetery.
