Dennis Lee Hughes enny 1944-2008 Dennis Lee Hughes, age 64, passed away July 9, 2008 in SLC, UT. Born Feb. 24, 1944 in Alameda, CA, son of George Emmett and Betty Grace Kelly Hughes. Married Carolyn Rae Jones Seaman, February 1979 in SLC, UT. Previously married to Donna Duncan. Dennis was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He served in the US Navy and retired from the Utah Air National Guard. He also served the community, his family and friends, and died a faithful member of the LDS church. He worked for over thirty years in computer systems management. Dennis was an avid handyman who delighted in taking on new projects and was always hard at work in the yard or garage. He enjoyed fixing computers, listening to jazz music, tinkering with new gadgets, and eating peach pie. Everyone knew Dennis for his wry sense of humor, his cheerful attitude, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He will be loved and greatly missed by all. Survived by wife, Carolyn; mother, Betty; children: Dennis Lee (Sheila) Hughes Jr., David Michael (Stephanie) Hughes, Jon Everett (Tracey) Seaman, Jeffrey Lee (Joanna) Seaman, James Edward (Rachel) Seaman, Jason Dain Hughes; grandchildren: Gabe, Emma, Chantelle, Drew, Lee, Adam, Sara, Katelin, Jacob; siblings: Kara (Bob) Sollenbarger, Peter Hughes, and sister-in-law, Paula Hughes. Preceded in death by father, George, daughter and son-in-law, Dyan and David Petrie, and brother, Randy Hughes. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 12:00 noon at the Butler Stake Center, 7035 Nutree Drive (aprx. 3375 E). Viewings will be held Sunday, July 13, 2008, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Mountain View Memorial Park, 3115 E. 7800 S., Cottonwood Heights. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
