Diane E. McCullough, 57, of Safford, left this world on September 17, 2017 and now finds peaceful rest in Jesus loving arms. She was born on May 29, 1960 to Charles & Charlene McCullough in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Through her baptism as a baby, she became a child of God. She learned of God's love and his grace when she attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and school. After completing high school in 1978, she enlisted in the Army. She moved to Arizona in the early 1980's. She decided to make her home in Safford with her partner of 28 years, Sandy Dominguez.
Diane worked in different retail jobs, the AZ State Prison in Florence and as an owner of CD's Store in Solomon. Her love of animals and the great outdoors made Diane a very special person.
She is survived by her brothers James and Allen (Lynn) McCullough of Louisiana, a sister Jan (Ken) Munson of Mesa, AZ, a brother &sister-in-law George (Geri) Dominguez and their family of Safford, her nephews & nieces; Jonathan, Alicia, Michael, Heather, Kevin & Kayla, and her wild mustang.
Diane was preceded in death by her partner, Sandy Dominguez, her parents and a sister-in-law, Brenda McCullough.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 beginning with a viewing at 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel with Reverend Crystal Noland conducting. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
