Dolores Soto Renteria, 68, of Safford, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born on December 7, 1944 in Willcox, AZ to Kino and Delia Soto. She married Ignacio Renteria on December 28, 2002 in Safford. She attended schools in Thatcher, her stepping grounds. As her children were growing up, she loved watching them play ball. She welcomed many in her home and loved them as her own. Dolores loved shopping for clothes and jewelry. She loved to decorate, watch Lifetime movies, especially The Golden Girls. Dolores loved Jesus first and foremost! She enjoyed working in her yard, cooking and making tamales. She and her sister Rita spent a lot of time together and were very close. Dolores is survived by her husband Ignacio Nacho Renteria of Safford; sons Rick and Chris Ruiz of Safford; daughter Connie Jurado of Safford; brother Carlos Soto of Safford; sisters Sofia Abalos of Safford, Rita Mendoza of Safford and Rosie Rojas of Thatcher; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Kino and Delia Soto. Services for Dolores will begin with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Rodriguez as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Safford Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McDougals Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Online condolences may be extended at www.caldwellfuneralchapel.com.
