Dolores Ribera

Dolores "Lola" Perez Ribera, 85, went to see her Savior on April, 18, 2014. Lola was born to Alvino and Antonia Perez in Vinton, Texas on September 13, 1928. She married Jose Solis Ribera in December 1947 in Safford. Lola was a long time Safford area resident. She held various jobs in the community and her longest tenure was 18 years as a housekeeper at Mt. Graham Regional hospital. She loved her job and was so dedicated that she always arrived 30 minutes early. Lola enjoyed sewing, cooking but most of all crocheting. When her children were young she served as a 4H leader. Lola is survived by: her children, Jose (Petra) Ribera, of Phoenix; Mercy (Donato, Jr) Delgado, of Safford; Cathy (Louie) Alvarado, of Safford; Paul (Maria) Lopez, of Safford; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; a sister, Angela Castellanoz, of California; and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Alvino and Antonia Perez; husband, Jose Ribera; children, Frank Ribera, Johnny Ribera, Jack Ribera and Suzanna Rubulcava; her siblings; Juan Perez, Pedro Perez, Librada Perez, Frank Perez, Mathilde Perez, Josephina Perez, Blas Perez, Anita Perez, Esther Sandoval, Maria Bailon, Joe Perez, Alicia Anaya, Guillermo Perez, Manuel Perez, Ernestina Lopez, Gloria Arrellin, and most recently Faustino Perez. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Lynnette of Mt Graham Hospice. Donations can be made to the organization in memory of Lola. Also a very special extended Thank you to Louie Alvarado, Lali Benivedez, Maria Vasguez of Willcox, Norma Barreras, America Barreras ,and Cherrie Baca, And any one else if I forgot your name but you know what you did and who you are, for helping out with our mom all these months. Services for Lola will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 with a viewing at 8:00 a.m., the Rosary at 9:00, and the Mass of Christian Burial being held at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Mission. Interment will follow at the San Jose Cemetery.
