Domingo Serrano Soto, 88, of Safford, entered into rest, on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home in Safford, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 20, 1921, in Mexico, to Valentine and Regina Soto. He married Maggie, on June 25, 1946 in New Mexico. Domingo served his country in the U.S. Army, during World War II. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, watching soaps with gram, PR, WOF, horse racing, and scratch tickets. He was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, was a devoted husband, and father. He is survived by his wife Maggie; sons, Danny, Ray, and Mikey; daughters, Olga and Gloria; brothers, Joe and Roman; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ray; granddaughter, Brandi; and great grandson, Isaiah Daniel. Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel, 112 East Main Street, Safford. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010, with Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with military honors to follow.
