Don Wendel

Don C. Wendel DC Don Carl Wendel, age 69, passed away November 20, 2007 in West Jordan, Utah from natural causes. Born August 23, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Carl Neuner and Mary Adell Breeze Wendel. Married Judith Ann Foote July 23, 1971 in Elko, Nevada. Don served in the US Air Force from 1958-62. He was employed for 27 years at Kennecott Copper Corp. He was currently employed by the Salt Lake County Library Facilities. As an active member of the LDS Church he served in many callings, most recently as second counselor for the Special Mutual. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, singing and his Tanna Banana. Survived by wife, Judith, Kearns; children: Micheal (Jill), Rick (Connie), both of Taylorsville; Sheri, Hyrum; Kim and Bret, South Jordan; Shawn, Salt Lake City; Steven (Jana), Riverton; Christine, West Valley City; David (Cynthia), Syracuse; Deon Peterson and Tanna Wendel, both of Kearns; brother, Glen Wendel; sisters: Marilyn Richards, Carol Malmstrom, Colleen Walker, Linda Dietz, and Joyce Brown. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Nephi City Cemetery.
