Donald Stone

Donald H. Stone 1931 ~ 2009 Donald Henry Stone, 77, passed away January 13, 2009 in Sandy, Utah. Born May 9, 1931, in Murray, Utah, son of Henry James and Mabel Leone Kelson Stone. Graduated from South High School in 1949. Served in the US Army PFC 1954-56. Married Loa Moss June 1953; later divorced. Married Shirley Rugg January 1976; later divorced. Married Laura Olive Barclay November 7, 1992. Member of the LDS Church where he served a Northwestern States mission, was a temple worker and in various church positions. He was a territorial sales manager for Hunt-Wesson Foods, a sales manager for Midwest International and later worked for Brashers Auto Auction. He was an avid camper and loved the outdoors. Survived by wife, Laura; children: Craig (Kathy) Stone, Midvale; Linda Kaye Smith, Murray; Keith (Susie) Stone, Bozeman, MT; Brian (Linda) Stone, Murray; Kevin (Danette) Stone, Eagle Mountain; 42 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene McDonald, Murray; brother, William Kelson (Marsha) Stone, Provo. Preceded in death by his parents; and sisters: Sylvia Stone and Eleanor McAllister. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. King Udall and Dr. Christopher Mendoza for their care of Don. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009, 12:00 noon at the Jordan North 3rd Ward, 4270 Falcon Street (4145 W.) Viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
