Donovan Larson

Donovan Carl Larson 1926 ~ 2008" Donovan Carl Larson, 81, died January 19, 2008 of leukemia. Born June 24, 1926 to Carl Walfred Larson and Bessie Laverne Winegar; one of twelve children. Married Nada Golda Webb November 16, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple; parents of 7 children. WWII Army Veteran having seen combat in the Philippines and duty in Japan. Fulfilled a full-time mission for the LDS Church in Hawaii. Also served a full-time mission with his wife in the Guatemala North Mission. Don loved the out-of-doors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and traveling. Retired Kennecott Refinery employee. Survived by his wife, Golda; children: Byron (Marjean) Larson, Linda (Dale) Hensley, Ron (Sheila) Larson, Gary (Cheryl) Larson, Kirt (Sandra) Larson, Donette (Jeff) Slade and Greg (Jennifer) Larson; 29 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Larson. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 22, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 16th Ward, 3495 West 4850 South. A viewing will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
