Doras Lue Turner, 79, of Eden, passed away January 28, 2015, in Willcox, AZ. Doras was born January 31, 1935 in Eden, AZ to Almer Alford and Leona Fern Taylor. She attended school in Eden through the 8th grade and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married the love of her life, Joe David Turner in April of 1951 and to this union were born 5 children; Alford Joe, Roy David, Jimmy Ray, Janis Lynn and Teresa Annette. Doras loved serving in her church with such callings as The Boy Scouts, a Primary Teacher and a Relief Society Teacher. She also had several jobs throughout the years, in retail sales, as a care giver, as a cook at the U of A and loved caring for her grandchildren. She was famous for her potato salad, her ranch dressing, her cookies, her gravy and her embroidery. Doras loved red roses, owls and her family. She lost the love of her life, Joe David, 37 years ago. She is survived by her sons; Alford Joe (Tiffany), Roy David and Jimmy Ray (Traci) Turner and daughters; Janis Lynn Turner and Teresa Annette (Terry) Richins, her siblings; William, Leona Jane and Buddy John, 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Doras was preceded in death by her husband, Joe David Turner, parents; Almer Alford and Leona Fern Taylor and sister Linda Reedy. A viewing for Doras will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Chapel in Pima, AZ. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson, AZ at 3:00 p.m.
