Doroteo Villa

Doroteo Gilberto Villa, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2020, in Tucson, AZ at the age of 44. "Jr." was born on May 22, 1975, in Duncan, AZ to parents Doroteo Villa, Sr. & Alice Villabelos Villa with siblings Antonia, Andrea, and Vicente Villa. He was raised in Duncan, AZ, a "small-town country boy" as he would say graduating from Duncan High School in 1993. Jr married Amy Michelle Siqueiros in December of 2015 bringing together their children Daren Villa, Aundrella Fowler, Daniel Villa, Christian Siqueiros, and Anissa Villa. He was a diagnostic mechanic. He took pride in his job without recognition, he'd say "I don't need an atta boy to get the job done". He was a dirt on his boots, oil on his hands, strong hardworking man. He was fed the word throughout his life. "You can always start over with the Lord," he'd say. No matter what trials and tribulations he faced, he always found his way back to his faith. He was a fun Dad. He had a youthful spirit with our kids, from wrestling, and working on cars with our boys, to dancing with our girls. He always had a unique way with his children making them feel special and loved. He loved being "Papa". His face would light up, every time "Missy Girlies" came through the door. He couldn't wait to meet his newest grandson, Axell, who was born on May 2nd. He loved sports, playing board games, and tossing bean bags in corn hole. He was very competitive, you didn't want to lose on his team. He was a loyal and supportive son and brother. Everyone he befriended became family. If anyone needed a car worked on, or a handyman, he was there. He loved his Sunday afternoons with his Mom and Dad, sipping coffee in the Gazebo. He was a Mama's boy and proud of it. He made time for his nieces and nephews. Tio Jr would be at every game cheering them on, or every barbeque, cooking at the grill. He recently moved to Thatcher, AZ where he and his wife began a new chapter in their lives with their new home. He began to watch his kids become adults and started welcoming grandchildren. He loved turning his house into a home, he wanted to have big family gatherings. This is what brought out the best in Jr, he made everyone feel welcome in his home. He took in his son's friends, they called him "dad", and he treated them as his own. He had a strong passion for catfishing. He could spend hours looking for the right hole or just cruising dirt back roads in this truck. At the end of his day, Jr loved throwing a steak on the grill, drinking a beer and listening to country music. He was a loving husband. His wife was his world and best friend. He believed in fate and if two people were meant to be, they will always find their way back to each other. They fell in love at a young age and reconnected 8 years later. He would leave a note every morning in her lunch "I sure do love you". In his darkest hour, Jr showed a deep devotion and love for his wife by telling her the same words he wrote to start each day, "I sure do love you". Even though Jr tried to look tough, he was funny, kind, and loving. We will all cherish the beautiful memories he gave us and carry them in our hearts forever. He will always be remembered, and never forgotten. Mom & Dad - Jr was the 2nd of 4 children. Weighing in at a hefty 8lb 10 1/2 oz which characterized and evidenced is his big-heartedness in later years. Jr was a shy and quiet guy, preventing him from joining and competing in sports at school(which he loved) but didn't stop him from being competitive and winning, giving his best whether it was basketball, volleyball, football, cards or board games. Talented and hard-working, he was not afraid to learn new things and new trades sometimes at the experimentation (or boyish prank), of others. Asking his younger brother one day to parachute from the roof of our home to see if a sheet would help glide his brother safely to the ground. Needless to say, the resulting impact was not anticipated...but thankfully, no broken bones. Jr didn't like recognition. He preferred to do this considerate deeds behind the scenes. One of the most important events of his life was receiving Christ at age 12. Years later, he fully surrendered, allowing God to transform him, giving him a new perspective on life. Tony - My brother led a remarkable life. He was a good man, an inspiration to all. Always there when anyone needed him he was strong and supportive. He sometimes didn't say much but in his silence, you felt comforting arms. He used his experiences throughout life, showing humility and understanding to all. Missed...Never forgotten. Vicente - My brother was a gift to my heart, a friend to my spirit, and my brother is someone who could never be replaced. I will always love you and never forget you. Andrea - My older brother has always been a comfort and defender of me. Many times when we were younger I would get upset at him because he protected me as a father. I always knew that he would be here for me and I could always count on him to listen. He was quiet many times but when he spoke it hit right to my heart. He's an amazing uncle to his nieces and nephews, always made time to show them they are important. He will always live in our hearts and be missed every day. Love Cukas - Jr, my best friend, and love of my life. My world. You gave me a lot of beautiful years and will cherish them always. I love you boo, I miss you every second of every day. Jr is survived by his loving wife Amy Villa, his children Daren Villa, Aundrella Fowler, Daniel Villa, Christian Siqueiros, and Anissa Villa, his parents Doroteo & Alice Villa, his siblings Antonia Martinez, Andrea Hernandez, and Vicente Villa, his 2 grandchildren Lilo Fowler and Axell Daniel and his mother-in-law Yvonne M. Siqueiros (who passed away on May 6th). He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Eloisa Villalobos. A Memorial service will be held at a later date
