Dorothy DeLaHunt, 84 passed away in the early morning on October 30, 2013 at home. Dorothy was born December 10, 1928 to Claude McHome and Ethel Watson in Phoenix, Arizona. She was one of five children. Dorothy spent most of her youth growing up in Laveen, AZ and moving to Phoenix in her early teens. She married William G. Bryce in 1945 and of that union four children were born, Rene, Jim, Claudia and Tim. The family moved to San Diego in 1965 and in 1968 Dorothy remarried Ramis DeLaHunt and had two children, Beth and Charly. After moving to Idaho for a short time, they moved to Glendale and in 2006, Dorothy moved to Safford with her daughter Claudia. She spent the last eight years with Claudia. Dorothy loved dancing and playing the slots at the casino. She was also an artist and played the piano. She never had a lesson, but could play any tune that you asked of her. Dorothy is survived by her six children, ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. We love you and will miss you. A viewing will be conducted on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel in Safford. Graveside services will follow at the Bryce Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
