Dorothy Goodwin

Dorothy White Goodwin 1928 ~ 2009 Dorothy White Goodwin, 80, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, peacefully joined her Father in Heaven on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. She was born June 15, 1928 in Beaver, Utah to Rodney and Lucinda Anderson White. She married Virgil Isaac Goodwin January 22, 1947; solemnized December 3, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away March 15, 1991 after being lovingly cared for by Mom through ALS disease. Mom loved to crochet and quilt. She raised three children and also had the privilege of raising two grandsons. She was proud of her family and found great joy in watching them succeed. She loved her Father in Heaven, her Savior, and associating with friends in Relief Society. We are grateful to be part of her eternal family. Survived by sons: Wayne (Sandy) and Steve (Darlene); grandsons: Jason and Scott Steele; 6 other grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter, Elizabeth; sisters: Beth, Anna and Billie. Dots family would like to thank the members of the Taylorsville 23rd Ward for the years of service to her, especially Dinah Hughes, Alan Mecham, Leonard and Lynnette Feil, Sandy Adams, Cheryl Eyres and many more. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 am at the Taylorsville 23rd Ward, 4932 South 3200 West. A viewing will be held Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Wednesday at the church, 9-9:45 am. Interment, Beaver City Cemetery, Beaver, Utah.
