Dorothy Griffin

Dorothy Ruth Bishop Griffin 1931 ~ 2007 Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Dorothy Griffin, age 76, passed away August 29, 2007. Born February 18, 1931 in Oakland, CA, daughter of William Van and Ruth Stephenson Bishop. She married A. Duane Griffin in the Manti LDS Temple; he preceded her in death October, 1999. Dorothy was a school teacher for many years and an active member of the LDS Church. She lived a life time full of service to those around her and will be deeply missed. Survived by her son, Darren (Sue Anne); granddaughters: Crystal Anne and Kelly MaRee; siblings: Kent Anthony (Bonnie) Bishop, Barbara (Mervin) White; Caryl (Clair) Baldwin; Vance William (Annette) Bishop. Preceded in death by her brother, Blair Van Bishop. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the Westwood Heights 2nd Ward, 3975 West Dimrall Dr. (5615 S.). A viewing will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
