Dorothy Marietta Jensen 1913 ~ 2010 Our loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, Dorothy M. Jensen, 96, passed away April 9, 2010. Born September 7, 1913 in Kansas City, Missouri to Clara M. And Kerrigan Manookin. Married Donald L. Jensen, on June 3, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. She joined the LDS church on December 3 at the age of 19. Was a primary pianist for 24 years in the Tooele 10th ward, and again for 12 years for the Western Hills 5th ward in Kearns, Utah. She served a mission for the church in Northern California from 1942-1944. Dorothy was a member of the Tabernacle Choir for 13 years. Preceded in death by husband, Donald; one brother, and 2 grandchildren. Survived by brother, Stuart Midgley Manookin; 3 sons, David, John, Mark; 2 daughters, Karen, Marie Hunt; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 12, 2010, 12:00 noon at Western Hills 5th Ward, 5600 West 5170 South. Viewings will be held Monday, 10-12:00 p.m. at the church. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
