Dorothy Piep

Dorothy Evelyn Piep Granny Goose Dorothy Evelyn Ehlers Piep, 82, passed away September 3, 2010. She was born July 15, 1928 in Nevada City, California to John Fredrick and Sarah Ellen Price Ehlers. She married George Wilhelm Piep May 26, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had great strength in teaching by example, and endured her trials patiently. Everyone called her Mom and Granny Goose. She loved creating ceramics and crafts. Preceded in death by husband, George; granddaughter Sarah, great-granddaughter, Kaida, son-in-law, Larry O. Mace, great-grandsons, Jaxon and Kyler, and grand son-in-law, Greg. Survived by children; Toni (Dick) Rollins, Linda Butcher, George (Janet) Piep, Dottie Butcher, Randy (Nancy) Piep, Susan (Scott) Fairbourn, Karen (Gary) McDougal, Darlyn (Larry) Mannix, and Rae Piep; 1 brother, Jay Ehlers, and 1 sister, Darlene (Quinton) Mitter; 34 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Viewing will be held Monday, 7-9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday 10-10:40 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
