Dwight Colvin McDaniel 1947 ~ 2008 Dwight Colvin McDaniel, age 60, passed away April 23, 2008. Born September 4, 1947 in American Fork, Utah to Colvin Edsell and Clara Sykes McDaniel. Married Jolene Goff on July 20, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah. Was a Vietnam Veteran, received the Purple Heart medal. Worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Survived by his wife, Jolene; children: Ryan McDaniel, Stacy Schlotfeldt, Melissa Vekasy; 4 grandchildren; father; sisters, Nancy Kinsey, Anita (Elden) Tanner; brothers, Kirk (Janet), Edsell (Diane). Preceded in death by his son, Shey McDaniel and mother. Memorial services will be Tuesday, April 29, 2008, 12 noon, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter or the Utah Diabetes Association.
