Edward "Eddie" George Lackner, 82, of Klondyke passed away on April 17, 2017 on his ranch with his loving family by his side. Eddie was born May 7, 1934 in Klondyke to Harold and Kirrilla Lackner.
Eddie grew up and attended school in Klondyke from 1st to 8th grade and then attended Thatcher schools from 9th to 12th grade. After which, he worked as a rancher, President of The Klondyke School Board, dozer operator and man of many trades. He was a lifelong member of the Graham Cochise Cattle Growers, Arizona Cattle Growers, was a Deacon in the Baptist church in Klondyke and a member of the Bonita/ Klondyke Association. He was admired by all his neighbors, friends and family.
He enjoyed tending to his garden, caring for his cattle and horses and hunting various game, including lions. His dear wife Sissie was always by his side. He always enjoyed spending time with her, their 5 children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his many many friends. Eddie was a great example to all that knew him on how to be responsible and work.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sissie Norma Lee Lackner, his children Georgia Lee (Linc) Luster, Edward (Tracy) Lackner, Lori Sue (Bill) Sollers, William "Bill" Ernest (Kathy) Lackner and Kirrilla Mildred "Kim" (Alan) Jeremy, his brother, Harold (Roberta) Lackner and family of Willcox, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Lackner in 1941, his mother, Kirrilla in 1987 and his step father, Millard Rouse in 1982.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 10 am at the Four Mile Ranch at the Lackner Cemetery in Klondyke, AZ with a viewing 1 hour prior at 9 am.
Family suggests donations be made to the Cochise/Graham Counties Cattle Growers Association. Family also suggests casual ranch attire be worn.
