Eddie Fae Wilson, 76 passed away March 7, 2010. She was born in San Carlos, Arizona to Skeet and Jewell Bowman. She grew up on her family ranch in the Mineral Strip and in Safford, Arizona. She attended Eastern Arizona College and Northern Arizona University where she received a Bachelors of Education. Eddie Fae considered raising her three sons and teaching to be her greatest accomplishments. She begin her teaching career on the Navajo Reservation in Kayenta and Tuba City. She later went on to teach in Whiteriver, Duncan, Solomonville and San Carlos. Eddie Fae retired from education in 1992 while working in San Carlos. She spent the remainder of her life doing volunteer work at the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and being with her grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons, two brothers, three sisters, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her influence on all of their lives and on the lives of her former students will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 10 at 1 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 10877 N. 77th Ave, Peoria. Graveside services will be conducted by Bishop Steve Hooper on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2:15 p.m. in the Safford Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel from 12-2 p.m.
