Edris Crabtree

Edris Belle Crabtree, 85 entered into rest on July 3rd 2013 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born May 6, 1928 in Bryce, Arizona She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. In her younger years she worked at the Hot Springs in Eden, AZ. She was a telephone operator and loved to babysit. She was known in Duncan for her delicious doughnuts, and crochet work which won 1st place at the Greenlee County Fair. She loved making prayer rugs and pot holders for everyone. She didnt know a stranger. She made friends by introducing herself. She was always very friendly and outgoing. She is survived by her son Lloyd and his wife Martha Crabtree of Duncan, her grandson Stephen Crabtree and her granddaughter Kristi Garcia; brothers Lavar Johnston of Bryce, AZ., Coy Johnston of Mesa, AZ. and her sister Verba and Russell Meteer from Rockland, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is her husband, Boyd Crabtree; parents Leslie and Zara Johnston; and her children Boyd and Zara Lynn. After being in the hospital for 3 months she grew weaker and could not talk anymore, but her eyes would follow her son and grandsons every move with so much love. We will miss you! A viewing will be conducted on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Duncan LDS Stake Center beginning at 9:00 a.m., with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will be at Franklin Cemetery.
