Victoria “Vickie” Murillo age 79, passed away Thursday November 10, 2022, at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. She was lovingly surrounded by her family.
Vickie was born on November 18, 1942 in Janos, Chihuahua, Mexico. She graduated from Clifton High School. Vickie married and raised her 6 children as a stay at home mom until she went to work in the Copper mine. She work in the smelter and drove the big trucks until she had to medically retire from the mine.
Vickie had a passion for music and donating her time to the community and especially Sacred Heart Parish in Clifton. Vickie enjoyed working with kids and not only taught traditional Mexican dances but also taught religious education classes for years.
She was a Guadalupana, which included teaching kids to dance the Matachines.
Vickie loved singing and sang as a soloist at many Fiestas and later in life in two church choirs, the English and Spanish.
Vickie was kind and very generous, she donated to many charities, the Wounded Soldiers Find, St. Jude’s Hospital and the Humane Society to name only a few.
Vickie is survived by two brothers, 6 children, 12 grandchildren and many friends.
Services for Vickie are November 18, 2022 at Sacred Heart Parish in Clifton, Arizona
