EDWARD MILTON CALLAHAN 1937 ~ 2009 Edward Ted Milton Callahan, age 72, left his mortal shell for his next journey August 20, 2009 in Salt Lake City. Born March 28, 1937 in Salt Lake to Grace Steele Callahan & Edward J. Callahan. While his passing was completely unexpected, we know his life was full of riches. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing with his family. His love for baseball went into his later years until an injury put him on the bench. Ted retired from Kennecott Copper after 39 years of service, many of which were in management. Ted & Shawn started EM & Sons Dairy Distributing and had an enviable work ethic. In his later years, he met his love, Merle, and were sealed in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Survived by his wife, Merle; sons, Shawn, David, Michael, Christopher; and daughter, Cydne (Paul); 3 granddaughters: Sarah, Heather and Rachel; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 step-children. Preceded in death by his mother; father; son, Cory; and brothers, Jim & Phil. Until our paths meet again, remember life is eternal, love is immortal and death is but a horizon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at the Murray 29th Ward, 6300 South 700 West. A viewing will be held Monday, 6 - 8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Tuesday at the church, 10 - 10:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
