Edwin Read Jr. 1935 ~ 2010 Edwin Read Jr., 75, passed away April 7, 2010 in Murray, Utah. Born March 14, 1935 in Corrigan, Texas. Served in the US Marine Corps, 1953-56. Married Kathryn Hale April 2, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple December 19, 1963. Worked for Hercules Incorporated as a Mechanical Engineer for many years. Active member of the LDS Church where much of his service was given in the Scouting program and received the Silver Beaver Award. Survived by wife, Kathryn; children: Mike (Karee), Joyce Read, Sally (Dan) Ipson, Linda (Craig) McLaughlin, Carl (Helen), Donna (Ryan) Winkler and William (Tashia) Read; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings: Laura Pearl (Keith) Williamson, Francis Joyce (Dave) McPherson and Helen Fay Simons. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Finis. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the Paradise Ward, 1555 W. Lovely Road (5095 S.). Viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
