Edwin L Pooler, 74, of Safford passed away on May 27, 2020, in Lordsburg, New Mexico. He was born on September 4, 1946, in Lady Smith, Wisconsin to Edwin Pooler and Bessie Cole.
Edwin joined the United States Marine Corps on August 16, 1964, in San Diego, California. On October 29, 1966, while still in San Diego, he married the love of his life, Wanda Bain.
He loved working with concrete and was known far and wide for his quality concrete benches. Along with concrete work, he loved woodworking and building just about anything he could get his hands on. He was a great mechanic and an automobile painter. He really enjoyed teaching young kids how to paint.
Edwin was a loving, caring man. He loved his wife, Wanda, and really loved being a "grandpa". Edwin was very approachable and easy to talk to. Everywhere he went, he was making friends. He never met a stranger he didn't like. Most often you could find him at his favorite place, Tuttie's Bar in Safford, playing pool and talking about war and about his time served in the Military. He was a proud Marine to the core.
He is survived by his 5 grandchildren and his dog, Max.
Edwin is preceded in death by his parents Edwin Pooler and Bessie Cole, his wife, Wanda Pooler, his son, and his grandson.
