Eileen LaPointe

Eileen F. (Doody) LaPointe passed away November 2, 2022, in Safford, AZ. She was born on August 22, 1936, in Hartford, Connecticut, to parents Thomas Doody & Frances Nagel Doody. Eileen lived most of her life in East Granby, CT before moving to Safford in March of 2004. She leaves behind her husband and best friend of 40 years, Jeffrey R. LaPointe. Besides her husband, she leaves a son David (Michele) Smith, her granddaughters Kayla & Jenna Smith, her daughter Frances (Jeffrey) Landau, granddaughters Rachel (James) Burnetter, and Heather (Justin) Domnik, two Great-grandchildren DJ Burnetter & Lilia Grace Domnik, and two step-sons William & Brandan LaPointe. She also leaves behind special friends Doris Ahrens, Debbie & Bruce Allen, Fran Hampton, Jill Doody and all her family in Ireland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Thomas, and a special friend Helen Salvatore. Memorial donations may be made to Safford City-Graham County Library Friends. No services are planned at this time.
