Elaine Link

Elaine Layton Link 80, of San Jose, California and formerly of Central passed away February 17, 2014. Elaine was born April 27, 1933 in Central, Arizona to George Spencer and Fay Lovell Layton. Elaine was raised in Central and graduated from Thatcher High School. She lived in San Diego for 20 years before moving to San Jose, California in 1988. She always considered Central home and enjoyed being able to attend the EAC 125th Anniversary last October. In her retirement, Elaine was an avid reader, crafter, and quilter. Elaine is survived by her children, George K. (Charlotte) Peck, Brandie N. Swart, and Douglas S. Peck; sister, Marla Fay Layton Adams; 5 grandchildren, Marissa, Carlie, Nikki, Joshua, and Lucas; and 1 great-grandchild, Zanthian. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Neal Peck of Pima and Charles A. Link; son William David Peck; her parents; and her brother, Spencer Kent Layton. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel in Safford.
