Elaine Jackson Rees Riding the Light Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend, Elaine Jackson Rees, age 83, passed away peacefully October 20, 2007. Born February 6, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Lloyd and Irma Griffin Jackson. Married Robert Darl Rees December 7, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah; he preceded her in death. Elaines life was filled with service to others, kindness to everyone, and a loving, giving heart. She had many trials which she always viewed as an opportunity for growth. She led by example to create an independent, free-thinking family. Having devoted her life to seeking spiritual truth, she has been shown the light. She is survived by her children: Vickie Guymon, Suellen (David) Tibbetts, Stephen Rees, Randall (Bradie) Rees, Annalee Jerolamon, Robyn (Mark) Kingery; 20 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Donna Newman. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Jennifer; grandson, Chris; and granddaughters, Tammy and Rachel. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
