Ella Ortiz

Ella Ortiz 1928 ~ 2008 Ella Beatrix Coultas Ortiz passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 due to congestive heart failure. She was surrounded by her family. She was born April 23, 1929 in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada and married Jose N Ortiz in 1953 and together had four children. She had a lifelong love of writing and cats. Her precious babies were always near. She always served as room mother and in the PTA. She loved her adventures living in the Phillippines and all over the United States. She is survived by her husband, of 55 years, Jose N Ortiz; daughter, Barbara S. (Clay) Meyer; son, Sheldon Leroy Butch Ortiz; grandchildren: Michelle (Chris) Sandberg, Haven (Amanda) Meyer, Heather (Mike) Martinez; great-granddaughters: Trinity, Kaydance and Alexis Sandberg; sisters: Sophie Corcoran and Phyllis (Len) Hunt, both of Canada. Preceded in death by infant son, Terrence; son, J Randy RDawg Ortiz in March, 2006. The family would like to thank the staff at Silverado for their wonderful care the past three weeks. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, October 3, 2008, 6:30 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4916 South 2200 West. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
