Ellen Mary Calder McDonald 1920 ~ 2010 Ellen Mary Calder McDonald, passed away January 10, 2010. She was born in Tooele, Utah on January 23, 1920 to Rebeau Calder and Stella Josephine Whitlock. She grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from West High School. While attending LDS Business College, she met George Woodrow McDonald and they were married August 26, 1939 in Salt Lake City. They lived in California, Colorado, and Illinois before retiring to Sandy, Utah in 1980. After nearly 65 years of marriage, George passed away in 2004. Ellen was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the LDS Church. She is survived by two sons, George Richard (Myra) McDonald and Lawrence Calder (Chris) McDonald; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 23, 2010, 12:00 noon at the Oquirrh 7th Ward, 6567 South Wakefield Way (6035 West), West Jordan. A viewing will be held 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment, Heber City Cemetery.
