Eloisa Aparicio

January 27, 1955 — December 27, 2013

Eloisa LaLa Lopez Aparicio quietly entered into eternal rest at the age of 58 on the evening of December 27, 2013 at Tucson Medical Center with her family and friends from near and far along her bedside. Eloisa was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Genoveva Lopez. Eloisa was born in Morenci, Arizona on January 27, 1955. A true Wildcat at heart, she left Morenci High School in 1973 to help care for her family, by working as a server at the Guest House in Clifton, Arizona and then spent the remainder of her life as a homemaker. During the last year, she went on to study at Eastern Arizona College in preparation of obtaining her GED. Eloisa is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Frank Aparicio. They were married in Morenci, Arizona on June 25, 1976. During their married life, Eloisa and Frank moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1983. Born and raised in a small town, the city life was not for them; in 1990 they made their permanent home in Solomon, Arizona. Eloisa is lovingly remembered by her children; her two daughters, Amanda Martinez and Mia Aparicio, three sons Santos Aparicio, George Medina and Joe Rea; three brothers Jose Ramon Maese, Edward Lopez and Johnny Lopez; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Eloisa enjoyed listening to music, reading, puzzle making and knitting. She was well known for her love of animals, especially cats. Always striving for the best, plowing through obstacles while showing her beautiful smile through it all; she always found a way to make you laugh. I bet heaven is a much funnier place because of her. My mother was such an amazing woman, for her to have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and yet she still found her way out of the depths always putting her trust in God. She had an appreciation for everything in life, the power of a her touch, smile, kind words, listening ear, honest advice and understanding of life filled us with compassion, gentleness, and we felt her deep loving concern for us. If you needed her, you could count on her to be there. She touched many lives in her lifetime and without a doubt I know God molded my mothers heart of pure gold. A Viewing and Rosary will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Safford Cemetery.
