Emily Anne Kammerman October 27, 2008 October 20, 2010 Emily Anne Kammerman was born on October 27, 2008, just two minutes after her twin brother Jacob. It quickly became apparent that, although she was the youngest in the family, she was the smartest. Her first year of life was filled with joy -- she loved to play with her parents, brothers, and sisters. Her second year of life was also filled with joy, but in a much different context. At age 13 months she began to exhibit the symptoms of Pearson Syndrome, a rare illness involving mitochondrial function. She spent a lot of time at Primary Childrens Medical Center, where she was loved by all who worked with her and she loved them. She passed away on October 20, 2010, from complications of her illness. We will all miss Emsies. Her smile, her laugh, her singing, and her play time. She loved to play with toys in the water. She loved her family so much! She loved to listen to her brothers and sisters read stories to her or make her laugh. She also had her hospital routines: holding a wipie or two, "one sip!" of water, music therapy, her nursery lessons on Sunday, taking walks, play time with Megan, popping bubbles, and phone calls on Skype to her family. In her short life, she changed the lives of those around her and the memories we cherish will continue to bless our lives forever. She is survived by her brothers, John, Reed, Hyrum, and Jacob Kammerman; her sisters, Anna and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Kammerman; her parents, Aaron and Patricia Kammerman; her grandparents, John and Jo An Kammerman and Howard and Sheryl Kempton; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. A special thanks to her second family at Primary Childrens Medical Center the amazing nurses, doctors, therapists, and other staff who served our family.
