Biography Emma Wright Pike, 87, a lifelong resident of Bylas, AZ passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009. Emma was born on July 24, 1922 in Bylas, AZ to Neil and Mary Wright. She had 5 sisters, and 4 brothers. She attended the Peridot Lutheran School. Emma was married in 1937 to Newton Pike, they were blessed with 9 children, Lorraine, Donald Sr., Rosalie, Skeeter, Allred Sr., Lenora, Lorena, Iris, and Jimmy. Emma was a homemaker and very supportive of her husbands political activities and events. She organized her husbands church choir with her family and was a very active member of the Miracle Church. Emmas hobbies were reading the Bible, talking with friends on the phone, watching the gospel channel, and doing word puzzles. She was a quiet, humble person with a big heart and will be missed greatly. Emma loved and enjoyed her family and told them often to pray, attend church and believe in God. Emma is preceded in death by her spouse, Newton Pike; her parents, Neil and Mary Wright; her siblings, Lillie Kindelay, Edith Wright, Lena Jordan, Mary Ann Baylish, Edna Goseyn, Wilbert Wright Sr., Raymond Wright, and Allen Wright; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grand children. Emma is survived by her children, Lorraine Dunigan, Donald Pike Sr., Rosalie Cosen, Skeeter Pike, Allred Pike Sr., Lenora Rope, Lorena Rustin, Iris Sneezy, and Jimmy Pike; her sibling, Andy Wright; 49 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. Services will be conducted Sunday, January 3, 2009 at the Stanley Hall in Bylas at 1:00 pm. Viewing at the Pike residence Saturday January 2, 2009 at 4:00 pm.
