Ernest Benavidez

Ernest "Boy" Benavidez of Pima, Arizona entered eternal rest Wednesday, December 13, in his home with his companion, Lydia Othon by his side. Ernest was born on December 18, 1951 to Celia and Pablo Benavidez in Pima, Arizona along with twelve sisters and four brothers. He proudly served in the Vietnam war as a sharpshooter. Ernest loved his dog, Baby and enjoyed fishing. He leaves behind his companion, Lydia Othon, of many years, his only daughter, Mary Benavidez and only son, Ernesto Benavidez Jr., six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, seven sisters and four brothers. He is preceded in death by five sisters, his mother and father. An honorary service will be held Saturday, January 6, at 2:00 p.m. at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel in Safford, Arizona.
