Ernestine Dominguez

March 30, 1945 — February 20, 2013

Ernestine Ernie Dominguez (also known to many as Deetch) 67, of Tucson, entered into rest on February 20, 2013 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 31,1945 in Morenci, AZ to Apolonio and Nestora Dominguez. Ernie was the biggest University of Arizona Wildcat and Elvis fan that ever lived! As much as she loved the Wildcats and Elvis, she loved her family and friends even more. She never failed to send you a birthday card or leave you a voice message singing Happy Birthday, like Marilyn Monroe. Her skill with a camera was unforgettable and Im sure many of us are thankful for the memories she captured. Ernie loved to laugh and make others laugh. You couldnt spend an hour with her without her telling you a great joke. She also spent much of her life making her house into a beautiful home and her door was always open. She was a lover of music and for much of her life, Ernie did what she loved mostplayed music. She was in several bands including The Girls, The Flares, and Rare Breed. Ernie lived a life time through music and was proud to be a part of bands with her brothers and her closest friends. She also treasured the times she spent at U of A basketball banquets and she savored the opportunities she had to meet many of her favorite celebrities such as Linda Ronstadt, Teddy Bruschi, Little Joe y La Familia, Eric Estrada and so many others. She is survived by her siblings, Mary Lou Ramirez, Manuel Pico Dominguez, Apolonio Poli Dominguez, Rose Marie McMath, and Ramon Monchie Dominguez. Ernie leaves behind family and friends that will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents Apolonio and Nestora Dominguez as well as her brother Antonio Dominguez. Ernie, you were one of a kind and we all love you so very much and we know we will see you again one day. A memorial will be held at The American Legion on March 30th at 2pm in Solomon, AZ. If you would like to contribute to the cost of the memorial, her niece Annette Eilert will be collecting donations at the memorial on behalf of the family.
