Esiquio Loya, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010. He was born January 21, 1929 in Clifton, Arizona. He was raised in Chihuahua, Mexico and then returned to Clifton, where he spent the rest of his life. At the age of 18, he met the love of his life, Edith Blair and they were married for 48 years before her death. Together they had three children, Barbara, Dolores and Paul. Esiquio worked as an Automation Technician for Phelps Dodge for over thirty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing. He was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Edith, his parents, Dolores and Manuel. Esiquio is survived by his three children, Barbara and Joe Gallegos, Dolores and Jim Henry, and Paul and Marcia Loya, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild, siblings Consuelo, Nicholas, Eloisa, Joe, Manuel & Elva Loya. He is also survived by his dogs, Chico and Chiquita. Rosary will be recited at 10 am on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton, with Mass to follow.
