Ether Parker Pratt 1936 ~ 2008 Ether Parker Pratt passed away on December 22, 2008 at home due to lung cancer. He was born December 28, 1936 in St. George, Utah, to Lewis and Luella Pratt. He was raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from Granite High School. A career military man, he served in both the Marines and the Air Force, which gave him the opportunity to live all over the world. After retiring from the military, he and his family returned to Utah and made their home in West Valley City. Hunting, fishing and camping were some of his favorite past times. He especially loved spending time with his faithful dogs, Bandit and Kekoa, who brought lots of love and laughter to his life. He is survived by his daughter, Melda Monina Pratt; brother, F. Lewis Pratt; sister, Loretta Pymm; half-brother, Dilworth Strasser. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Filomena (Nina); half-brother, Art Strasser; half-sister, LaRae Galvin. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
