Eugene W. Anderson Ultimate Dad Eugene Wilson Anderson passed away May 31, 2009 with his family at his side. He was born June 7, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah to Christian Eugene and Mae Wilson Anderson. He grew up in Los Angeles, CA and lived most of his life in Corona, CA. He was a WWII veteran. Married Dixie Ursenbach in 1943 in Manti, Utah; she passed away in 1948. They had one child. He married June Rice on January 31, 1950 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. They had six children. He was a master metal smith, plumber and general contractor. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many ward and stake capacities. He spent his last 17 years in Salt Lake City, Utah. Survived by his wife, June; children: Sandy, Becky (John), Jeff (Lynn), Peggy (Steve), Sheila (Larry), Sherryl (Tim) and Chris (Marianne); 40 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 6 more on the way. Preceded in death by all his siblings; and grandsons, Joseph and Jeremiah. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a wonderful example of selfless service and instilled a great work ethic in his posterity. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Oquirrh Point 1st Ward, 6253 West 6200 South. A viewing will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
