Eva McAllister

January 10, 1912 — August 4, 2009

Eva McAllister Grandma Mac Eva May Arnold McAllister, 97, returned to her Heavenly Father August 4, 2009. She was born January 10, 1912 to Samuel Read and May Rebecca Sorensen Arnold in Granger, Utah. She married Ben E. McAllister December 22, 1951; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Copperton, Utah. She graduated from the University of Utah and taught school in the Granite School District for 32 years. She loved giving service for the Lord, being with family and friends, working in her garden and doing genealogy. She and Ben worked in the Jordan River Temple together for years. She taught Primary for 50 years and was honored in the Ensign for her service. She will be missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: David (Norma) White, Provo; Sally Ann (Ralph) Melone, Chicago; Virginia (Mike) Shell, Sandy; Ben Jr. (Carolyn), Taylorsville; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Bud (Orson P.) (Pat) Arnold, Provo; and nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff at Our House where she lived, her many friends in Copperton and the staff at Alta View Hospital for their loving care. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Copperton Ward, 350 East Hillcrest Street (400 South). A viewing will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
