Evelyn Martha Casper, 93, of Safford, passed away peacefully with no pain, on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her daughters home in Safford, with her loving family at her side. She was born on December 12, 1919 in Arnold, PA, to Bernard Torrence Conley and Elanor Pearl Rogers Conley. She married Theodore Casper in 1944 in Philadelphia, PA. Theodore passed away in 1996. Evelyn was loved and adored by everyone, and she loved and adored everyone too. She was sweet, loving, and kind, and the best mother in the whole world. Evelyn was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the VFW Auxiliary, and a member of the New Kensington Civic Theater in Pittsburgh, PA. She is survived by her daughter, Lynne (Guy) Casuccio of Safford; a sister, Terry Marr of Pittsburgh, PA; a granddaughter, Lisa (Michael) Smetanick- Connell of Tucson; a grandson, David Smetanick of Glendale, AZ; two great grandchildren, Jennifer Smetanick and Derek Smetanick both of Glendale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Viewing will start at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford, with rosary at 10 a.m. by Deacon Carl Vessels. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, by Rev. Father George Kunnel. Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 18 of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini will be acting as pallbearers. Interment will be in the Tucson East Lawn Cemetery with Deacon Richard Grijalva officiating.
