Evon Petersen Thomas 1/31/1922 ~ 8/7/2010 An elegant and beautiful woman left this life as a result of a massive stroke. She was strong and brave and endured her health problems with dignity to the end. She was loved by all who had the privilege to know her and she loved them in return. She will be remembered for her elegance, kindness, generosity, charity and love. Married D. Blaine Thomas August 8, 1938; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death. We will miss her greatly but find peace in knowing she is once again with her wonderful husband, Blaine; her son, Brent and the rest of her family who have preceded her in the eternal realms on high. We have all been blessed by knowing and loving her. She is survived by her four children: Gayle, Don (Pat), Janet (Stephen) and Steven (Trish); 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren that she enjoyed so much; sister, Sonia; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the Millcreek 2nd Ward, 4220 South Jeanine Drive (400 East). Viewings will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. There is now another angel in heaven, a perfect description of her. We certainly do love our angelic mother.
