It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Felix Pina Vasquez Jr, a beloved brother, friend, and pillar of our community. Felix, a compassionate and gentle soul, brought joy and warmth to the lives he touched. His departure leaves a void that cannot be easily filled.
Felix was born on September 25, 1943 in Morenci, Arizona and was a loving brother to his siblings Paul, Dolores, Michael, Marie, John, and Phillip. Together, they shared a bond that stood the test of time, supporting and guiding each other through life's challenges. Felix was deeply cherished by his family, and their memories will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Felix's journey began in Morenci, Arizona, where he attended Morenci High School, eventually graduating with the class of 1961. Throughout his life, Felix maintained close connections with his classmates, reminiscing about the cherished memories they created together. He was a loyal and dedicated alumnus, always ready to support the school and its community in any way he could. He went on to attend Eastern Arizona College and Arizona State University.
On August 29, 1964, Felix married the love of his life, Gladys Jean Halpain and together they were blessed with 4 children; Deidra, Felix C., Yvonne, and Jennifer.
One of Felix's greatest joys was providing nourishment for the birds in his yard. Their cheerful songs filled his days, and he took pleasure in observing their vibrant presence. Felix's love for nature extended to the guitar, an instrument he skillfully played. His melodies would resonate through the air, captivating the hearts of those who listened.
Felix also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, teaching them life lessons that he learned and showing them how to be loved and respected by those around them.
Felix's genuine and warm-hearted nature touched the lives of all who crossed his path. Known for his signature wave and friendly demeanor, Felix treated everyone he met with respect and kindness. His warm smile brightened the lives of those around him, and his infectious laughter brought joy to any room.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years Gladys, his children Deidra, Yvonne, Feliz C, and Jennifer (Brad) along with his siblings John (Irene), Phillip (Angie), and Marie, 6 wonderful grandchildren, and 5 outstanding great-grandchildren.
Those who passed before Feliz are his parents Felix & Dolores, his brothers Mike & Paul, and his sister Bobbie.
