Ferguson Kindelay

Ferguson Kindelay, 65 of Bylas passed away February 5, 2014 in Mesa. Ferguson Kindelay was born on December 19, 1948, to the late Calvin Kindelay, and Thelma Victor Kindelay. He was the oldest of six children. Ferguson attended school at Bylas Lutheran School, East Fork High School, and Fort Thomas High School and attended college at Eastern Arizona College. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp on June 28, 1968. Ferguson was honorably discharged on June 10, 1974 as a Lance Corporal (E-3). During his military service he received the National Defense Service Medal, US Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal and a USMC Rifle Expert. He married Therilyn Wilson on November 23, 1972. Together they had four children; Victor, Shelley, Sherilyn, and Fernlynda. He was employed with different companies that allowed them to live in different places throughout Arizona including; San Carlos Police Department, Arizona Department of Corrections and Freeport Mining. He was also a semi-truck driver. Ferguson was a kind and easygoing man who had many friends. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching movies, listening to music, family gatherings and cook outs, and being outdoors. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He had eleven (11) grandchildren. He is survived by his children Victor (Cheryl), Shelley (Donnie), Sherilyn, Fernlynda and 11 grandchildren; his mother Thelma Kindelay; his sisters Victoria (Ricardo), Joy (Steven), and Wendy; and his brothers Michael, Rankin (Margie), and Darrell Quade (Rosita). Ferguson is preceded in death by his wife, Therilyn and his father Calvin Kindelay. Ferguson will be missed very much. A wake will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Kindelay Residence in Bylas. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Stanley Hall in Bylas with Pastor Raymos Edwards officiating. Interment to follow at the Bylas Veteran's Cemetery in Bylas.
