Fermin Donaldo Miera The music of your life will be missed Fermin Donaldo Miera, age 76, passed away on September 29, 2007. Born September 16, 1931 in San Miguel, New Mexico, to Elias and Guadalupe (Lupita) Atenc o Miera. His life was filled with friends, family and music. Fermin came to Salt lake City in 1946 from San Miguel, New Mexico where he began work for the Portland Cement company as a heavy equipment operator and remained there for the next 34 years until his retirement in 1981. Fermin was an avid fisherman and loved to spend his weekends in the Uintah Mountain lakes and rivers with friends and relatives. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his children and grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was his music, he could play any instrument that was placed in front of him and for many years played with several local bands professionally. You are loved will be missed. Heaven awaits your arrival Dad. Survived by children: Fermin, Jr., Delphina, Mary Brown, Teresa Gallegos,Patricia Trujillo; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Andy J. Miera; sister, Ophelia Romero. Preceded in death by wives: Consuelo Mata and Mary Luna; sister: Beatrice; brothers: Phil, Cristino, Elias, Tilly and Joe. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 4, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A viewing where family and friends may gather will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
