April 24, 1929 — January 5, 2012

Flora S. Lafleche age 82, passed away on January 5, 2012 at her daughter Flora and Roberts home in Chandler, Az. She was born in Sanchez, AZ, to Moses and Rosa Sanchez on April 24, 1929. Survivors include her daughter Flora Aguilar (Robert), their children, Robbie (Susan), grandchildren Alexander Socrates and Ryan Augustus; Michaella (Michael), grandchildren Savanna Quinn and Gannon Diego; Paul (Denise) Perez, grandchildren Tyler James, Pablo Cody, Madelyn Wilma and Charlotte Lida; daughter Catalina (Stewart Ryan), their children Cody (Breanna) Dennee, grandchildren Brandi and Brae Lynn; U.S. Army Ranger Staff Sergeant Tyler (Leah) Dennee, grandchild Isabella Rosa; R. Bianca Garrobo, grandchildren Micah, Neveah and Angel; daughter Robin(Leonard)Frederick, their children Laci Marie (Ian), Lincoln, Lane , and Levi ( Shelby), grandchild Leonydis. Flora worked for Doris Roisman as a domestic engineer for thirty years. She met Roland and married him in 1973. After marriage, they started a hog farm and worked diligently day and night, rarely hiring outside help. In their spare time, they enjoyed dancing, spending time together and traveling. They traveled together to Canada to visit Rolands family and visited Mexico. They were able to travel with Robert and Flora to Hawaii and Europe, and during her final summer, 2011, Flora fulfilled her lifelong wish to take a cruise to Alaska. There she was enchanted by the panoramic views, wildlife and mostly the beautiful gems, since she was ever fashionable and a jewelry fanatic to the very end. She had hoped to make another journey to Alaska this coming summer. Flora spent her time reading romance novels, working puzzles, and most of all, enjoying her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, who visited her every day and who brought her great joy. Her great-grandchildren were the highlight of her days and missed their laughter and playful noise when they were away. Flora and Roland converted to Catholicism and practiced their faith daily. Her faith brought her great comfort after Rolands passing and in her final moments. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. On Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Rev.Father Edward Lucero as Celebrant. Viewing will be on Monday, January 9, from 6-8 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Sanchez Cemetery.
