For when we have to part, dear, therell be no sad ado, for Ill be in your pocket, love, Ill go along with you. Our husband and father passed away July 21, 2008. This wonderful man was born April 15, 1928 in Helper, Utah to Willie Bourne and Agnes Pierson Smith. He married the love of his life, Alberta Olsen, November 10, 1952; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was an accomplished diesel mechanic by trade for 52 years. There was not a vehicle he could not fix just by the noise. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and target practice. He is survived by his wife, Alberta, Tooele; children: Flo (Galen) Rouse, Melody (Lonnie) VerValen, Connie Smith (Larry) and Terry (Vicki) Smith; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jake and Loyal; sisters, LaVina, Elva and Beth. He will be laid to rest Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
